Chaos and her Moby Dick

Chaos is a 78lb American Bulldog. She has a Moby Dick. Her Moby dick is a rat that steals eggs from our chickens and every night she chases Moby Dick in attempts to catch him but is always foiled by her large size. I think it's time to set out traps and let her believe she killed Moby Dick.

Bumblefoot removal

It's come time to remove the bumble without the signs of healing. There's a little more to remove but she's doing great.

Battling Bumblefoot

Our Wyandotte hen has bumblefoot. I'm trying an alternative method which worked last time rather than surgery. I'm using Nu Stock on the foot to see if it helps. So here's a before photo (if surgery is needed I'll try to photograph the process or if I attempt something else.

Dogs are expensive.

2 vet trips and 5 dogs later:
Shots: $300
Deworming: $200
Nail trim: $10
Heartworm preventative: $250
Heartworm TREATMENT: $600
And now I'm following one dog around for a fecal sample that she will not give. Thanks Chaos. . .
One dog was muzzled and Callie came up Heartworm positive so theres that expense other than that everyone is fat, overweight or very happy.
Next big expense is the goat. . . Pray for that vet not to get headbutted in the testicles like she enjoys doing.

Long time no post.

We're currently moving. I'm currently pregnant (28 weeks). Still battling possums. One dog with heartworms going through treatment and planning our homestead.

Possum 3: Return of the Possum

  He's back. It's like a horror movie. He didn't take any lives with him. But he's trying to dig his way into my coop. And I don't like it. I posted on BYC in hopes for answers to my problems. Joe the possum has GOT TO GO!
